 beyerdynamic has taken over Interkom electronic Kock & Mreches GmbH
On the 1st February 2006 beyerdynamic took over the company Interkom electronic Kock & Mreches GmbH, the specialist for wired conference and simultaneous interpretation systems, in Wedemark near Hanover. This merger is an excellent opportunity to complement beyerdynamic’s product range of the Conference business unit with a digital network technology for conferencing applications. Combining this state of the art technology with the innovative digital wireless technology that beyerdynamic has introduced exclusively to the market of conference systems, the company is now the only manufacturer that offers conference systems for any application.
For 25 years the name Interkom electronic Kock & Mreches GmbH was a synonym for innovative audio products with a focus on individual and tailor-made solutions of analogue and digital wired conference systems. “The acquisition of Interkom has been a logical step in our strategic move to establish beyerdynamic as the global market leader for wired and wireless conference systems”, explained Wolfgang Luckhardt, Managing Director of beyerdynamic. “We will use the synergetic effects in Research & Development, Production and Sales & Marketing to further develop our product line and expand our presence in the global conference market.” On the 31st March 2006 the location of Interkom in Wedemark was relocated to Heilbronn.
